Thanks again to Josh for filling in - great work. 8th August - Top Bar, Honiton, G'tar Wars 3, round 2 final! Great bands, including Square Peg, NUMB, Incommunicado and Sunshine Getaway - the evening was won by Le Chat Noir, with LiquidMetal coming "a close second". "Best young band we have had by a big margin..." Thanks again to Josh on keyboard & sax! 29th July - The Bell by the Green, Devizes, with Justice Promotions. SPITE headlined with The Powerline, Pablo!, Six-Tay Nine, Innocent Touch and My Last Story also playing. Great evening. Thanks to Josh for standing in for Tom on keyboard - and also featuring saxophone for the first time! 26th July - The Elm Tree, Chiseldon, nr Swindon, headlining, with The Purple Streams and another band (!). 45 min set v well received :) 18th July - G'tar wars 3 - Battle of the Bands - LiquidMetal revisited the Carlton Inn - Top Bar - Honiton and won their BotB round vs Out of Enemies, Join the Guild and Simplicity Complex! So back in devon for the final on 8th August :) Thanks to all our mates who came down to Devon and had an awesome couple of days camping. 12th July - LiquidMetal confirmed as a Headline Band for Justice Promotions - this is great news and means the band will play in a load of new venues in Wilts, Somerset, Gloucs, and get paid for it!! Wooo 7th July - Goatacre Village Hall, Justice Promotions gig with The Powerline, The Munchies and Cold Snap. Some great music though not too many people there! 1st July - Moles, Bath, U18 BOTB final - we didn't win but we had a great time - the other bands were awesome, especially SPITE who won, The Mirettes and Keiro pics 17th June - Moles, Bath, BOTB semi-final, with Keiro, Draw the Line, Cherry Stain and FMFU - won the audience vote again so through to the final! 3rd June - Mini M Fest, Market Lavington, with Robert Bowden, Rhiannon Lambert and SPITE. Some really amazing music on show! 19th May - private party with The Colorado, Detox and Pablo in Ramsbury - great fun - thanks Cathy & Harriet pics Sunday 6th May 8pm - SheerMusic, U18 Devizes Battle of the Bands, Bell by the Green, Devizes, LiquidMetal competing with SP!TE and The Reprieved. 2nd gig of the day! we had a great time but The Reprived went through - awesome metal band, just been signed. pics Sunday

November 2006 - 2nd round of the Carlton Inn BoTB in Honiton,
with Eleven Lives Left and Anderson. LiquidMetal
played a good set despite Barney's guitar string breaking! Thanks to
Anderson for lending a guitar :) Didn't get through this time but great
experience and thanks also to Toz for organising, sound and support. |

13th October 2006 - The Shak, Pewsey. LiquidMetal did a great set at RockNite, getting a great crowd dancing/moshing. Other local bands on the night were The Effect, Pablo Picasso and Blind Summit. A wkd evening - pics here. 7th October 2006 - Private party, Holloway, London. LiquidMetal invited by Wez to do a set - a brilliant evening with a fantastic crowd and some other great bands - the Peace Frogs and Take Off Your Shirts (amazing). pics 17th September 2006 - Moles Club, George Street, Bath. LiquidMetal performed with three other bands, Joe Public, Tijuana and Merchants of Dennis. 8 songs in the set including first performances for 'Feel Fine' and 'Wounds don't last forever'. Great reception from the audience and an awesome sound system at this prestigous local venue. Pics. 2nd September 2006 - M Festival, Old House Barn, Market Lavington. LiquidMetal were joint runners-up overall and top band in the final of this talent competition. 13 acts - soloists and bands - performed one song each with the panel of judges being Kevin Godley (of 10CC fame), Mike O'Keefe (Sony BMG) and Jonathan Shalit (who discovered Charlotte Church). It was an amazing day of music. LiquidMetal performed one of their new songs, 'Pull the wool over my eyes' and their sound was likened by the judges to both Velvet Underground and Deep Purple. They were praised for their musicianship, working tightly as a band, energy and personality. The winner was the brilliant Robert Bowden, a bluesy pianist/singer. Other bands who all performed fantastically on the day included The Roomers, SP!TE, Write Off and Patchway Theft. Pics |

2nd August 2006 - Carlton Inn, Honiton, Devon, BOTB (all ages). LiquidMetal were on first with Soundproof, Dark Sovereign and Diverted Traffic also appearing. It was a great evening of music and LiquidMetal were delighted to go through to the next round with Diverted Traffic - probably in October/November. There's a report on the band's MySpace profile. Also great to meet some local MySpace friends! Camped over nearby and then spent the next day at Charmouth beach - yay. Pics. 29th July 2006 - Rockfest - teenage (11-16) music and social event, Coronation Hall, Alton Barnes. LiquidMetal did two sets with other local bands The Hair Farmers, Red*Riot and The Dynamics. Good fun. Pics. 12th July - Talent competition heat in Market Lavington - Track12's Duncan standing in for Archie on drums - thanks! And out of 65 acts seen by the judges, we made the final! - see above June: LiquidMetal joined Track12 on stage to perform Bowie's 'Heroes' at Tom H's awesome party. Pic. |

May 2006 - LiquidMetal one of 4 bands competing in an U18 Battle of the Bands at Moles Nightclub in Bath - 3pm. Opened the show with a 20 minute set to c.200 audience - plenty of energy and we were pretty happy with the set - great experience. Pics. Got a good vote seeing as no-one knew us! Congrats to Pinstripe for winning the heat - we'll be back! April 2006 - School RockFest gig - LiquidMetal performed 'Liars', 'Glendis' and new song 'Don't Run Away' - congrats to Track12 for winning. Feb 2006: Into The Music Workshop for 3 hours of recording - 10 original tracks! Great work & thanks to Pete Lamb for his patience & skill. Mixing should be completed towards the end of Feb... Contact us if you're interested in a copy. 14th Jan 2006 - LiquidMetal was one of several live acts performing at a local village school to celebrate the opening of a new village shop and First Responder Scheme - great family fun with LM running through 7 songs between the gorgeous belly dancers and nifty clog dancers... Pics available here 7th Jan 2006 - LiquidMetal performed at a local private party - fantastic reception and great fun. 2 sets with excellent disco as well. Joined by mates from fellow band Track12 for a joint last number version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Freebird'. Legend. Pics available here September 2005: Twenty20RockBBQ at a local cricket club - fun cricket match with burgers, beer & music from LiquidMetal - great fun! Several new songs performed for the first time, including cover of Subways 'Rock n Roll Queen'. August 2005: Sadly the weather forecast was for showers which meant than a planned outdoor gig (near Salisbury Plain) was cancelled. LiquidMetal were due to play with another local band, Hitchmo - who had organised it (thanks!) - and a couple of other bands. Hopefully next year.... June 2005 : LiquidMetal performed at The Shak in Pewsey as part of a SK8 and Youth day. They played a great range of their material, including new song 'Daft Punk' and new cover 'Get Free' (The Vines) and received a good reception. Later the same day they played in a local church for a Youth service, including a premier of their version of 'Scarborough'. May 2005 : Performed 3 songs at school Rock-Fest: Light in the Dark & Get Away (Olly & Barney) and a cover of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit. LiquidMetal were one of 7 bands performing- it was a great evening with a fantastic audience. Jan-Apr 2005: rehearsing new material - own songs and covers of The Vines, Nirvana etc. 27th December 2004: Private party, local village December 2004: Limited edition CD now available - 'Too Dangerous for the disco' - 18 tracks, including studio and live recordings of their own songs and covers.
